What’s my story? At age 40, I was a widow and had been a caregiver for my late husband. His oncologist told me I had a unique blend of clinical experience and knowledge, deep empathy for my husband, and attention to his care. I didn’t think that was anything special. After his passing, I returned to clinical care and began working at a retirement community. I found the work relevant to my background and equally rewarding: serving people facing the realities of aging. 

Over 16 years, I have expanded my knowledge of the clinical, social, and emotional aspects of aging, moving into assisted living management and now care management. I am a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA)® and an Advanced Professional Member of the Aging Life Care Association. More importantly, I have learned to see older adults as valued humans who deserve respect and advocacy. 

I am also committed to advocating for older adult awareness and care in my community. I earned an Advanced Certification in Gerontology from the University of Colorado and currently serve as co-lead of the Patient and Family Advocacy Council at Boulder Community Health and as a member of the Colorado Coalition on Aging. My previous roles include integrative physiologist, nonprofit executive, and consultant for nonprofits and foundations. 

I think my clients and their families would describe me as compassionate, thorough, insightful, and fiercely committed to serving older adults' best interests. I build relationships, cultivate trust, and help people navigate often challenging decisions about their later years. They know that I always have their best interests at heart and will do whatever it takes to meet their needs. I love learning about my clients and getting to know them as people. I bring lightness, humor, and sometimes a little tough love. Summed up in my tagline: Honesty. Integrity. Advocacy. Service.

When I’m not caring for people, I teach yoga and strength training, hike, and hang out with my two cats, Gimel and Chai.
